we can’t believe our house is under contract!
After months of hard work, it only took 48 hours for our house to be under contract. It’s SO hard to believe that we are moving forward with our homestead journey! If you haven’t been following along, we are a family of eight living in a one room shophouse while we set out on an adventure to find the perfect-for-us homestead. We have been dreaming about this for some time now and we even tried last year to make it work. But we never actually listed the house. So when we bravely dared to try again, it was with lots of prayer and joyful anticipation. Following your dreams is a little scary! But woah! It is so rewarding as we see our prayers being answered.

I’ve been surprised at how emotional the whole process has been. Last year, I was prepared to go. I was eagerly moving forward, racing toward the next season of life. And while I am still over-the-moon excited. The slow shophouse lifestyle has given me a lot of time for thoughtful reflection. We have loved our time at the old house. We made sweet memories there. But we are all learning to live in the present and seek joy in the season we are in. And while we are eager to finally settle and start growing roots, we are living in the moment and holding on to what counts- being in good fellowship with one another, locking arms and moving in the same direction, and trusting in God wherever He leads.
