Slow Baked with cinnamon and sugar, these easy Dutch oven fried apples are soft and perfect for topping your favorite pancakes, ice cream, or even eating straight from the bowl!

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 lbs hard variety apples
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup table sugar
  • 6 Tbsp salted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • First, peel and chop all of your apples.
    4-5 lbs hard variety apples
  • Then, simply add in the sugars, salt, cornstarch, and cinnamon.
    1/2 Cup brown sugar, 1/4 Cup table sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp Cinnamon, 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • Chop the butter into a few chunks and toss them in, and give the lemon a good squeeze over all the apples.
    6 Tbsp salted butter, 1/2 squeezed lemon juice
  • Stir the apples until they are well coated in the sugar and cinnamon, then pop into the oven to bake!
    4-5 lbs hard variety apples
  • Bake covered for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Pull from the oven and stir well. Serve warm!
