White Hot Chocolate with Peppermint
Callie Morgan
This white hot chocolate with peppermint bark liqueur is rich and creamy, sweet, and perfect for a late night treat around the Christmas tree. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed peppermint and garnish with a soft peppermint stick, candy cane, or Pirouline.
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 4 oz White Chocolate
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 Cup Peppermint Bark Liqueur
- crushed peppermint for topping
- whipped cream for topping
- Peppermint sticks candy canes, or piroulines for garnish
To make this creamy adult winter treat, begin by heating the heavy cream in a small sauce pan just to the point of a boil. When you begin to see steam and bubbles forming along the edges, remove the cream from the heat.
Break up the pieces of white chocolate and put them into the heavy cream to melt.
Stir the heavy cream and white chocolate until all the chocolate has melted. Then, add in the salt and the peppermint bark liqueur.
Stir well and top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint. Garnish with a peppermint stick or pirouline and serve warm.
