Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Granny Smith Apples
  • 1 Cup Table Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 stick Salted Butter

Instructions

  • First, start by peeling and slicing all 3 pounds of apples. Then, toss them with the Cup of table sugar and 2 Tbsp of lime juice. Then, transfer the apples into a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Next, in a separate bowl, mix together 3/4 cup flour, 1 1/2 Cup of old fashioned oats, and 1 1/2 Cup of brown sugar.
  • Melt the butter and pour it into the oat topping mixture. Stir well to combine. It may form small clumps and that is okay!
  • Once the topping mixture is crumbly and the melted butter is fully incorporated, spoon the oat topping over the sliced apples in the baking dish.
  • Bake at 325 for one hour or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Serve immediately with ice cream or whipped topping!
